- ipod nano 4gb kind of "freebie" so it doesn't count as expensive as I got it as present from Chris last Christmas
- plastic sandwich bags surely just a few quids
We decide not to take a bed bug sheet, which we were unsure if necessary to avoid getting bite in the nights by these little "monsters", the sleeping bags and bed linen, which if need it we could always buy along the way. Also we decide to leave behind any camping gear as we plan mainly to spend our nights on guesthouses or on a hippie van when touring Australia and NZ.
Have we missed out something else?
We are leaving for now the struggle of the decision of our travel “wardrobe”.
Mum just asked me if a pajamas would be a good Christmas present for Chris and when I told her not to attempt to buy us anything as we wouldn’t need much on our trip she was a bit surprise and after a minute of silence she asked me “what are you going to wear for the whole trip?” ...well when I told her not much I imagined her like on a cartoon with a thought cloud above her head picturing me like a "vagabond"…
We haven’t forgot either about our first aid kit, we are just waiting to go home before taking the plunge to be stuffed up by my mum with all the unthinkable medicines for every eventuality, thanks mamma!

You will need to think also about an external harddrive to store all your stuff.
The Dell is very cool and ultralight but has only 16GB drive which will full up pretty soon - At 23/11/08 11:40 AM Chris said...

thanks for the advice, after shooting the video we bought a Imoega Portable 250GB external drive at £60.30 and a 2GB memory card for my camera at £9, secondhand from Ebay

We've been using micro fiber towels for several trips now and we're soooo pleased with them - not exactly the same brand as yours though.
There is one more thing you could consider: a portable fire alarm. We have one that is a combined fire and burgler alarm, it's great and do not take up much space. Could be a lifesaver. - At 2/12/08 9:32 PM Australian Horse Racing said...
