The Geyik Mountains are an important attraction with the tale of Sultan woven around it. Sultan was a young girl in love. But her family fixed her marriage somewhere else and hence she rushed to the mountains to seek shelter. It is said that hearing Sultan’s plea the mountains cracked the rock and created an opening. Nobody ever saw any trace of her after that except a piece of fabric hanging from the rock.

Taj Mahal, an wonder in itself

The magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world, was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan on the grave of his beloved queen Mumtaz. The mesmerizing monument is the epitome of love, elegance, grandeur and enthralls tourists, painters, artists, poets, sculptors and photographers from all over the world.

It took 22 long years and 20,000 laborers to create this phenomenal specimen of the archaic Mughal architecture and has now been declared as a world heritage site. The tomb stands on the bank of the Yamuna River, and is characterized by stylized calligraphy, fine arrangement of different precious stones, delicate carvings in white marble and the beautiful pietra dura art work.
