Sri Lanka, located in the southern coast of India between Arabia and East Asia, is known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean for its rich exotic beaches, central hills, tropical rainy forests and beautiful waterfalls. Sri Lanka sustains a high bio-diversity with lots of care. It was the first country to launch a wildlife sanctuary. The National Parks located in different parts of the island provides a great access to inhabitants like water birds, pelicans, spoonbills, strokes, ibis etc. and also attracts tourists for watching a wide range of animals like peacocks, deer and herds of elephants.

The island hosts Sigiriya which pertains to be the eighth wonder of the world for its scenic beauty, with a 200m rock surrounding a complex with beautiful water gardens. Undoubtedly, this island should be added to your traveling list, if you wish to visit any small island in the midst of Indian Ocean.

India offers a diversified culture because of its rich historical backdrop. The land is endowed with numerous tombs, temples, pillars and mosques with a high historical significance and draws millions of tourists from all over the world every year.

Firstly you have the Taj Mahal by the Yamuna River. The magnificent white monument was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz. Then you have the enticing Khajuraho temples of Madhya Pradesh, one of the finest specimens of rich Indian architecture. Both the sites are now recognized as world heritage spots by UNESCO. The Ajanta and Ellora hand carved rock caves of Maharashtra bear another testimony of intricate Indian craftsmanship.

Then there is Fatehpur Sikri renowned for its high quality unique constructions by the Mughal artisans. Jama Masjid in old Delhi is a magnificent mosque with 4 towers, 3 gateways and 2 minarets. Other important sites are the royal palaces of Rajasthan and the Nawab town of Murshidabad in Bengal.
