Diving and snorkeling at Similan Island

In Malaysia there are many small and wonderful islands located around Phuket. These islands can be accessed from Phuket in one or two hours. Some of these islands give terrific sites for snorkeling and scuba diving and they also have good beaches for relaxing. One such place is Similan Islands.
The Similan Islands comprises of nine islands. This place attracts both divers and also the non-divers. Similan islands are considered as one of the best spots for diving in world. You can also go for snorkeling on these islands. For those not interested in diving can go on hikes in jungles or just relax on the sandy clean beaches and enjoy the view of the breathtaking ocean. The Similians along with all its reefs have successfully recovered from the overuse and earlier calamities. The boats entering the island have to follow rules imposed by the national park officials.

The Chiang Mai is not like the rest of Thailand in the sense that it is cold due to the high altitude. This region is famous for the trekking trails. These treks can vary from a short day hike to a trek lasting few days. Chiang Mai is also famous for the hill tribes which live in the mountain region. Some members of this hill tribe can be seen in Chiang Mai as well selling wares. They wear exotic and colorful costumes and innocent wide eyed smiles. If you want to avoid the strenuous trekking for exploring the hills, you can hire a car with four wheel drive. You can enjoy the scenic beauty of the steep hills and experience this remote area of Thailand.
The Phuket Island is one of most popular tourist attractions of Thailand. The reason behind this is the presence of many beautiful beaches. Phuket has lot of pretty white sand beaches and these are located on the west coast of Phuket Island.
